Feeling much better...

..Thanks to my super-cool family, friends, and co-workers. More than anything, I'm very angry right now. I just need a bit of time, I guess. I hadn't even talked to the guy in a while, and hadn't actually seen him for quite a long time, and I guess that's a good thing.

...

There was once someone in my life that I spent every waking moment trying to save from himself. I sacrificed a lot of my own well-being to keep him alive. Quite some time ago, I stopped fighing for his happiness. I learned tonight that last week he had decided to stop fighing as well, and as he always promised, he took his own life. I'm not sure how to feel about this.... There isn't a set book of rules on this kind of stuff.

Broke down.

Okay, my computer is getting fixed...Will be back in business by Saturday, if all goes well.

Strep-Throat.

Yep. I'm on antibiotics, which is something that I don't like doing at all. Not cool.

Today, Andre, my manager, was super nice, and was all like "I'm going to make sure you go home early", but then Darcy, the asshole owner of the store threw the kibosh down on that idea. Darcy is pretty uncool, but instead of getting mad, I spend a lot of time drawing hilarious unflattering pictures, and leaving them in places where he may find them a few months down the road, when I'm not there.

I broke some plans tonight, and I feel a bit bad about it, but I don't want to pass this around to people I really care about.
So, my new plan is to go to bed early...I'm pretty hardcore.

Sick again...

I guess working around drunk dudes all day is similar to working around children...These guys carry a ton of germs, and the normal, non-alcoholic adult immune system can't handle it. Anyway, I have a crazy sore throat, and spent the day at home sleeping. Obviously, my body needs a ton of rest, because I'm exhausted again, and am going back to bed right away.

...Still don't know if I'm going to fix the virus. I called my ISP today, and they sent me some new anti-virus software, but the virus won't let me install it. There are really only three things that the virus has affected...My hotmail, my messenger, and my WinMX (plus I can't listen to anything in the "My Music" folder, but pretty much everything is on my i-pod anyway). Also, it won't stay on long enough for me to properly charge my i-pod, but I need to get a plug-in charger anyway for camp. Do I want to wait it out, and risk losing the computer (I am getting a new computer when I return in the fall anyway), or do I shell out a few hundred to get this one fixed? I don't know....

In other news, Screech is on TV right now. I bet most washed-up celebrities wish they were Screech, because it seems like Screech can get on TV pretty much whenever he wants, as he has no shame. He just calls up the network, and is like "Hey! It's Screech. I want to be on a show, and I'm willing to do just about anything. I am willing to make fun of myself." Screech...What a guy.

Cripes...

Okay, so I was trying my best to ignore the virus, but now it won't let me on messenger, and it won't let me sign into my hotmail. I was going to just try to pretend it didn't exist, but I guess I actually have to do something about it. Geez.

If you urgently need to e-mail me, my other e-mail is sarahdianna@gmail.com (or you can leave something in the comments section here). As well, I will still check my hotmail every other day or so at work until this is fixed.

Steeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaakk...

Selina took me out to dinner tonight, and now I am so food-drunk I can barely move. Boccavino is probably the greatest place ever, but I always want to explode by the time I leave.

In other news, my computer has a lame-ass virus. Yep, it sucks. It still works, just not as well.

I need a bath and some water. Night!

Can't believe I forgot to tell you guys....

Okay, so my dad came over from Ireland at the end of last month for a very quick visit. On Easter night, he took us out for sushi. There we were, enjoying our spicy tuna rolls (cucumber for my dad, who is vegan), and my dad says to us, "Girls, we have to talk about something". In my head, I'm all like "Oh, cripes, what now?', but then he's all like "I think it's time that you girls came over for a visit". Turns out, in the last two weeks of September, two weeks after I return from Connecticut, my dad is flying us into London for a visit. Here's the kicker: my sister, who is 20, has never been overseas....By her age, I had been to Europe twice. So, my dad wants to make this trip count. He is buying us Eurorail passes, and we have quite the adventure. It will all begin in London, then we'll travel to Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, then track back to Ireland, and eventually fly back out of London.
It should be a great trip, as I've only seen a couple of the places we'll be visiting.
...Pretty jazzed about the whole thing.

Dear Emily Eddy,

I'm not even going to pretend to know where your coolness starts and where it ends....I'm probably like one of the world's top twenty Monopoly players, and even I can't figure it out. Thanks for being so gosh-darned entertaining.

So, I went to HiFi last night, like usual, but it had been the last day of classes for the university kids, so the club was packed. Allison and I don't believe in the whole "VIP" bullshit, so we wait in line like everyone else. We waited for a long while, but met some super cool chicks in line. So, we finally get in, and I see Dwayne, and my friendship crush, Jodie, and all of the other regulars...However, it was a strange night, as the bar was full of people that weren't sure why they were there, and they stood there looking lost, thinking to themselves "When are they going to play some 50 Cent?" (not that there's anything wrong with 50 Cent....It's just not HiFi appropriate music). So, Allison and our friend Chris got a table, and I ran off to dance. After a bit, I went back to the table to see how things were going, and I see this dude talking to Chris. Allison tells me that it's Raylen Dekker, who I haven't seen since I was probably 14. Raylen was the son of a director, and was pretty much a "cool kid" back in the day. He dated my friend, Kasey, for a couple of years. He asked me about my mandarin, and I told him that I could still speak it, but my writing was fading quite a bit. Then, we went to dance....Pretty sure he tried to make a move, but I just wasn't having it. I learned that when I dance, I "jiggle" quite a bit, and it could get me in some serious trouble, as some dudes can't avert their eyes from my jiggling. Guys, I think I have a dancing problem....I can't stop (especially when Rob Faust, the DJ, busts out some Ray Charles...Allison knows what I'm talking about).

Anyway, I got a little out-of-control, and didn't take any photos (sorry guys)...Promise some next week, okay?

Taxes.

I have never really been a superstitious person, but yesterday a ladybug landed on my shoulder. I was told by my great grandmother, when I was a very small child, that if a ladybug lands on you, it is a good omen, and you should make a wish. "Fair enough", I though, "What should I wish for?"
I have great friends, a great family, and my job is not too bad, so in a fully greedy move, I wished for some money....Not a ton of money, just a little bit of money to get me through until I leave for camp.
...Today, I filed my taxes online, and I am getting over $500 back! I have never had such a large tax return, but there's no way that I made a mistake. This will make life much, much easier. I'll probably even be able to afford to send my stuff to camp early, so that I won't have to carry it on the plane to New York.

On that note, I'm buying my plane ticket tomorrow, and will arrive in NYC in the morning of June 14th, which means that you can expect me in CT by late afternoon...I can't wait to see the one of the Ebner vehicles round the corner to pick me up.

I talked to Jared online the other night, and it made me pretty camp-sick.

Nicole, I am so proud of you!!!

Allison, is everything okay? Please call me, and I'll take you out for pancakes, mmm-kay?

Hey! So for a very limited time, I'll give you guys an awesome download of my favorite radio show, Fat Beat Diet... http://www.beatdiet.com/mpthree/fbd-2005-04-05.mp3
If you like it, you can also listen to the show online every Thursday night on CJSW.

Also, there is a ton of hot downloads on www.calgarysoul.com.... Be sure to check out Rob Faust's sets, he is the DJ behind Flashlight at HiFi (on Fridays), and I think we all know how much I love Flashlight.

Night!

Alright.

So last night, I stayed up very, very late for no good reason (4AM!). I went down into my little mini-basement suite, put on some old-school funk and soul, danced a bit, and looked through old photos. Usually, I go out dancing once a week or so, but this week, I didn't make it out! ; )
Anyway, it was a good way to release some stress, but at 7AM, this guy shows up at the door from the phone company, and he's like "I'll get you online today". He didn't mention that it would take 6 hours. Luckily, I didn't have to work until 5PM, so I just waited around, but it was pretty early, and now I am tired.
...That was a horribly boring story. Sorry about that. Point is, I have my internet back.

It's funny how much I missed writing in my blog every day. I am the queen of telling pointless stories that are so esoteric that nobody gets them except me, and that's fine and well on my blog....In the past few weeks, however, I've been a story-telling maniac, which probably hasn't been fun for others around me. Sorry, guys....I promise that things will get better now that my internet is back.

You may be thinking to yourself: "What the hell has sarah been up to in the past three weeks?"
Well, here is your answer....In list form.

-Became the world euchre champion....However, my title was stripped after they found out that my "partner" was just a bunch of dirt stuffed inside of a windbreaker.
-Broke up Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's marriage after making hilarious fake-Angelina Jolie calls to their house.
-Got a new job as the announcer at a roller derby....Then got fired for using the microphone to sing Toto's "Hold the Line" to a group of school children.
-Got arrested for scribbling crude drawings on a judge's robe....While he was still wearing it.
-Broke both legs in a tragic bubble-blowing accident.
-Fell asleep behind the 7-11, and woke up in a sweatshop in Bangladesh, and was forced to make those adorable little coats that all the celebrities put on their pets.
-Found Bigfoot, and made him water my lawn for below minimum wage.

Yeah, it's been a fun few weeks...Sorry you guys had to miss it.

Seriously, though...Missed you guys so much.

Not dead.

"Hope to be back online by Thursday, if all goes well.".....This was a direct quote from me about a billion years ago. I'm at an Internet cafe right now, and I am still not online at home yet. There have been problems getting it up and running (not on my end, so there's really not much I can do). My ISP has given me a new date of the 11th, a week from today, for my connection date....I really hope it happens by then, I'm going through withdrawl. I miss you guys so much. Hopefully I'll be back in a week.
